This is the last digital sunset shot in the series. I may have more that are on film, but they have not been scanned yet. I could not decide which version of this photo I liked better, so I posted them both. I hope you enjoy. There are only 2 more digital shots remaining in the series, and then Ill take a day or 2 off before I start to publish scanned photos (some of which are AWESOME). Anyway, enjoy these both.

just to be contrary, its crap! i think i like the top better, the colors in this photo seem to add more depth and personality. . . .
Hey! Dan's work is awesome! Dan, don't listen to anonymous, your work is awesome...I actually think I like the black and white one better...it's purties and I think it simplifies the image on a level where it works...soooo...I'm less busy now, so I get to say, I WANT THIS ONE TOO!
an image that works in black and white is always better. black and white relies more heavily on the formal elements of art. often times a color image only works because the colors are so unusual or bright- but the composition often lacks(in general). when you take a black and white sunset it's all about the light values, the contrast, and composition. if you take a color sunset it's much easier to "wow" someone just by getting the right exposure so the colors come out. choosing black and white for this image was a good idea because it makes the rays of light stand out more.
